The shmog received a (much overdue) update to its backend today, as it was finally upgraded to Drupal 6.x!

Hopefully not much will be visible to you on the front-end; I've tried my best to iron-out all the kinks left from the update process. Still, I'll be waiting a week or two before I declare this update a complete success...

Now that the major backend update is out of the way, I'll be spending the next few weeks implementing a few features I've been planning for several months, such as geotags on each blog post, gravatar integration as well as a few tweaks to the UI.

If you also happen to be planning an upgrade to Drupal 6.x, I recommend that you follow the upgrade instructions very carefully: Make copies of your webroot and SQL db and create a test-server. Perform your upgrade in privacy, iron out all the kinks and when everything is running smoothly, copy your webroot back to your production server. ...just in case!
