Blog-Shmog.com suffered a major database fault on Sunday, February 22, 2009!

Due to a (decidedly human and dumb) error in the Blog-shmog.com automatic backup script, a routine database roll-back resulted in the instant deletion of over 5 weeks of comments and modifications...

From the original notice, posted on the Blog-Shmog front page:

Sorry folks, I blew up my damn website...
I'm working hard to get it back online, but there might be some glitches here and there as I get all my modules functioning again. Fortunately, I didn't lose any content, but I did lose 5 weeks of comments on all blog posts.

I apologize if your comment was erased, I will restore as much as I can.

So after a week of data entry, copy/pasting and database re-keying, all of the articles and comments were restored (thank you google cache) but unfortunately all changes to the Blog-Shmog database since the Drupal 6 upgrade were lost.

The content was rebuilt, the database was restored, the auto-backup script was repaired and life goes on...
